Impulsem pro vznik projektu byla moje osobní fascinace žánrem shoegaze, ke kterému jsem se dostala skrze knihu Miloše Hrocha - Šeptej nahlas. Tato kniha mi otevřela nejen hudební, ale i ideologický rozměr tohoto žánru důraz na vnitřní prožitek, introspekci, autetičnost, experimentálnost a diy přistup ke zvukové technice i nástrojům. Shoegaze mě zaujal tím, že klade důraz na pocit ze zvuku samotného, nikoli jeho technickou dokonalost. Tento aspekt se stal základem mé práce - tvorba nástrojů, které jsou nositeli určitého pocitu.

V rámci projektu vznikli dva nástroje. První nástroj funguje na principu oscilátoru - zkoumá, jak lze čistý elektronický signál modulovat tak, aby působil organicky a emotivně. Druhý nástroj vyvhází z melodického principu - umožňuje širší hudební variabilitu a emotivnější vrstvení. Oba nástroje nejsou zamýšleny jako dokonalé z hlediska konstrukce, ale jako prostor pro experiment a prožitek.

The impulse for creating the project was my personal fascination with the shoegaze genre, which I discovered through Miloš Hroch’s book Šeptej nahlas (Whisper Out Loud). This book opened up not only the musical but also the ideological dimension of the genre for me—its emphasis on inner experience, introspection, authenticity, experimentalism, and the DIY approach to sound technology and instruments. Shoegaze captivated me because it prioritizes the feeling of the sound itself rather than technical perfection. This aspect became the foundation of my work: creating instruments that serve as carriers of a certain emotion.

Within the project, two instruments were created. The first instrument works on the principle of an oscillator—it explores how a pure electronic signal can be modulated to feel organic and emotional. The second instrument is based on a melodic principle, allowing for greater musical variability and more emotional layering. Neither instrument is intended to be perfect in terms of construction, but rather to serve as a space for experimentation and experience.

I understand the project as a personal reflection on shoegaze, an attempt to capture the genre through material and sound.
